Founded by the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Conception in September 1949, St. Turibius School has a proud tradition of educating the whole child in mind, body, and spirit. St. Turibius School is an educational ministry of St. Joseph’s Catholic Parish community in downtown Los Angeles and we are centrally located adjacent to the 10 freeway, just minutes from downtown Los Angeles in the heart of the fashion district. Our school provides educational opportunities that support our mission of educating the whole child and our faculty is committed to accompanying our students as they cultivate their very own relationship with God. We currently serve students ranging from transitional kindergarten (4 years of age) through eighth grade. Through collaboration with our many stakeholders—parents, teachers, community leaders, church leaders—we focus on developing our students to be model citizens in our church and in our society.
St. Turibius School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Western Catholic Educational Associations (WCEA). Our students excel in academics and athletics as demonstrated by our back-to-back championship Soccer team (2012 and 2013) and our participation in the Junior High Academic Decathlon.
