Today’s students face much more serious issues than their parents and teachers encountered only a few decades ago. There are many issues that impede a student’s ability to focus on academics. A wide variety of social and emotional issues create barriers to learning in schools across the country, affecting virtually every state and school district. Outreach Concern is a non-profit agency serving Los Angeles and Orange counties, providing much needed counseling services for at-risk students. St. Turibius School works with Outreach Concern counselors and supervisors to meet the needs of all our students. Counselors work collaboratively, with the parents, teachers, and principal to improve a student’s academic performance.
