the Best Catholic elementary STEM school in Los Angeles
Hello St. Turibius School Families,
I am very excited to introduce myself, Audrey Blanchette, as the new principal of St. Turibius School. I am honored that I was given the opportunity to continue to lead such an amazing school and school community.
I come to you with seven years of experience working in education within the Archdiocese. I have taught middle school ELA, fifth grade ELA and religion, second grade math, science, social studies along with sacrament preparation. I am also a product of Catholic education having attended Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal School in Montebello and Bishop Amat Memorial High School in La Puente.
This past school year, I was blessed with the opportunity to be the resident principal for our school community, where I worked alongside Karina Mendez and the amazing staff of St. Turibius School. I want to thank Karina Mendez for allowing me to be part of the school community, but also being an exceptional and remarkable mentor to me. I will continue to pursue the growth and development that Karina Mendez and the staff worked so hard for since day one. I am dedicated to ensuring that our school is upholding our mission, “the formation and education of all children in spirit, mind, and body” with the partnership of faculty and parents. May our students also be equipped with the knowledge and faith to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ and the saints.
I believe that education is a life-long process and expect that I will continue to learn much about the uniqueness of St. Turibius School this year and in the years to come. Most importantly, I bring a belief that students are and will always be the center of all school-related decisions. I am excited to unite my experience, my openness to learn, and my student-centered approach to support our school community. Because the relationships between families and the school are vital to the success of our students, I highly encourage you to become involved in every way possible to continue to make this place more unique and vibrant than it is already. I look forward to a successful school year and seeing you all soon!
May God bless you
